purpose
A narrative 2D animation that describes the mission and benefits of the MPA educational training program, MP3C that is being developed at Trillium Health Partners. This program trains healthcare professionals who would like to learn better methods to assess patients who suffer from co-existing mental and physical health needs. The animation was showcased and well received at the 2018 MPA Annual Conference.
the process
Based on the narration script that the client provided, I drafted out ideas and created storyboards in Adobe Photoshop. The MPA program already had a style and look established and as a designer I had to be mindful of these requirements. Their design was a flat design approach with a more loose style and subtle details. Samples of character development and storyboard are found below.
Through the iteration process, once storyboards were approved, I created the assets in Adobe Illustrator and composited the assets and voice over into After Effects to create the motion graphics. Final edit of the video was done by Diana Grossi (Trillium Health Partners).
